NEW RATES FOR TOURIST VISAS IN SPAIN

New rates for tourist visas in Spain have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union

New rates for tourist and short-stay visas in Spain.

WHEN DO I NEED A SHORT STAY VISA:

The short-stay visa in the EU is requested for travel for:

  • Tourism
  • Business
  • Study or other types of training
  • Political, scientific, cultural, sports, religious events, or other reasons

For travel by members of official delegations who, following an official invitation addressed to the government of the third country concerned, participate in meetings, consultations, negotiations, or exchange programs, or in events held by intergovernmental organizations in the territory of a Member State and for Medical reasons.

PRICE OF A SHORT STAY VISA COST:

The amendment to the fee amount for short-stay visas has been published, 22/05/2024, in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The amounts are:

  • 90 euros for adults
  • 45 euros for children aged 6 to 12 years

This amendment will apply 20 days after publication in the Official Journal of the EU.

HOW TO PAY:

The visa fee can be paid in US dollars or in the national currency of the country where the visa application is submitted, using the official exchange rates in effect.
