EDUCATION IN SPAIN:
The Study Stay Authorization is designed to pursue specific education in Spain.
This can include university studies, vocational training, or even language studies. Any type of authorized education in Spain qualifies for this permit, so ensure your chosen institution is accredited to avoid issues with your authorization.
FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT:
Your studies must be full-time. Part-time courses or limited weekly hours don’t qualify. Choose a full-time program that leads to a degree or certification.
ONLINE EDUCATION:
For this permit, your program must be in-person. Applications based on online studies won’t qualify, as you could pursue online studies from your home country without needing this permit.
FINANCIAL MEANS:
You’ll need proof of sufficient funds for your stay.
The law requires 100% of the IPREM per month, approximately €600 monthly, or €7,200 annually, though the amount may be adjusted if accommodation is already paid.
HEALTH INSURANCE:
You must show proof of health insurance, either private or public, valid in Spain.
This insurance must cover repatriation and have no co-payments.
STUDY AUTHORIZATION FOR MINORS:
Yes, minors can apply.
Parents must provide consent allowing the minor to leave their home country and study in Spain.
STUDENT’S FAMILY MEMBERS:
Family members (spouse, registered partner, children under 18, or dependent children with a disability) can apply for a corresponding family member authorization if you obtain a Study Stay Authorization.
STUDYING OVER 6 MONTHS IN SPAIN:
If studying for over six months, you must submit a Criminal Record Certificate from your home country and a Medical Certificate with your application.
