Spain prepares for the new digital entry system into the EU
As per our previous blog-post, a new digitised Entry/Exit system, to be introduced in the Schengen Area, which will no-longer require passports to be stamped in order to record the entry and exit of third-country nationals, is now being installed ready for its opening in 2023.
The new system, which is expected to be fully launched towards the end of the year, will be used to keep track of third-country national travellers and used for residency renewals.
As per the conditions for residency-renewals in Spain on all permits, other than the Investor-Residency, no less than 183 days should be spent in Spain. This means that the residency permit renewal will be refused should this minimum time of 183 days not be made.
