Depending upon both the type of residency which is applied for in Spain and from where the application itself is being made, the residency application requirements change.
There are however some general requirements which are requested on every type of residency from wherever it is being applied for, some of which are; Criminal record report, Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months and Valid health insurance.

This is important to know because the majority of insurance firms will automatically provide health cover for a 12 month period as their standard product.
