End of obligatory use of facemask in the interiors in Spain

As of 20 April 2022 Spain will enter a phase of the pandemic where the public is free to circulate without a facemask provided social distancing of 1.5 meters is maintained.

The use of a facemask is still obligatory however on all public-transport, in hospitals and in residencies for the elderly.

The recognised and accepted vaccines in Spain are:

  • Pfizer
  • Moderna
  • Astra Zenica
  • Janssen
  • Sinopharm
  • Sinovac-Coronavac

The following is to be continued to be legally adheared with, within Spanish territory:

  • Obligatory use of face-masks  in hospitals and in residencies for the elderly
  • Obligatory use of face-masks on all public transport
  • Social distancing of 1.5 meters should be carried out at all times
